Aja Griffin

I have practiced mindfulness since I was a young girl, I just didn't have words for it at the time.

When I found yoga, I found that it was the perfect union of movement and spiritual practice. In this duality, I achieved humility and awareness, and continue to study the endless depth of my inner Self. The older I become, the more I realize that rest is the key to all aspects of my well being, and I love using yoga as a vehicle for my restorative, healing journey.

I became a 200-HR, certified Yoga Teacher in 2019 (Hot Spot Yoga - Oakland), with an additional 50-HR certification for prenatal yoga in 2021 (The Dolphin Method). I consider it a privilege to guide people through their own mindful practices. Yoga is deeply individualistic and personal. I honor that philosophy with each of my students. With specialties in Vinyasa, restorative, and prenatal yoga, I curate yoga sequences with breath work and/or guided poses, inviting all of my students to stay present, curious, and to explore the connection of mind, body, and spirit.
