Summer Sadhana - Cool, Ground, Expand with Jennifer Kurdyla

  • Arise Yoga Crown Heights 730 Franklin Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

In Ayurveda, the qualities of our environment are ever-present in the microcosms of our individual bodies.

Hence why the nature of our foods, activities, and self-care practices change with the seasons. As we greet the start of summer, we tip into the "yin" phase of the year—a time where the intensity of the sun reaches a peak, which requires opposing qualities to bring balance to our systems.

In this special class, you'll learn a seasonal yoga sequence that offers cooling, grounding, and expansive qualities to support whatever adventures you have in store this summer. The class will include several mini-sequences, which make great travel companions if you find yourself away from home, or are too busy playing outside, and don't have time for a full practice. Whether you sit for three breaths or go through the entire sequence of active and resting postures, you'll be doing sadhana—dedicated practice—as a way to commit to your self-care and support your larger intentions for growth and transformation this summer, for yourself, your communities, and the world.

COST: Use your membership, class pass or standard drop-in to attend.
