Iyengar Yoga is based by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar.
It is firmly rooted in the eight limbs of
yoga as described by Patanjali. The method emphasizes alignment, progressive sequencing, and (sometimes) longer holds; practicing this way acts as a meditative tool to go deeper and
strengthen the mind-body connection. You'll likely use a lot of props as well! Belts, blankets, and blocks help with accessibility, safety, and further understanding.
While no yoga experience is necessary to participate in this gentle class, beginners and intermediate practitioners alike will enjoy the benefits of it. In this class we will slow our minds and bodies with intention as we tune into each pose and connect with our breath. This class that will leave you feeling connected and in tune with your body, mind, and spirit.
